The Red Polka Dot Dress

Without a doubt, this is Barbie's favourite outfit. She loves the sleeveless cotton sheath dress with its red sash. Polka dots are always in style, and well, just fun. And the red felt hat with its contrasting ostrich feather can't be beat for style and verve.

Cocktail Dress in Red with Silver Lace Overlay

This knee-skimming lace overlay party dress is 50 years old and yet could not be more in style. With it, Barbie is wearing black open-toed high heels and is carrying her patent leather clutch. She has just ordered a vodka martini, straight-up with an olive.

Barbie has a choice of shawls (red satin or silver lace) to keep the chill off her shoulders. Her choice depends on her mood.

Cheerleading - A part of the past

Barbie may be done with cheerleading but she still fits into her outfit. Rah Rah.

These matching panties fit under the short skirt. Essential when doing cartwheels and headstands.

Wide-legged Gabardine Trousers with Bulky Cowl-necked Sweater

Some things never go out of style, and those would include these wide-legged pants and this big warm sweater.

Note that Barbie's pumps match the blue-green colour accent in the wool pants.

Some Spanish Flair in Red and Black

As part of her 150 minutes of moderate activity each week, Barbie incorporates some fun with Flamenco dance lessons. To get into the swing of things, she wears a traditional Spanish dress called a traje de flamenco with matching mantilla.

Anticipating St. Patrick's Day

Barbie likes to celebrate most holidays, and St,. Patrick's Day celebrations are not to be missed. She's getting out her green gear in anticipation of the day.

Barbie strolls through the arboretum in a knit suit of light mint green paired with a darker green pencil skirt.

A Winter Wedding

Barbie never married. Her long-time companion was just too asexual for her taste. Nevertheless, she remains very fond of him; he's a real doll. And even if he wanted to, he couldn't change the way he is, he was made that way.

Barbie may never have married but had great fun acting as a winter bride on this photo shoot for a prestigious fashion house. She wore a pearly white high-necked satin gown with wide bell-shaped sleeves and matching cap. The cap, (which held a charming veil in place), sleeves, and front skirt panel were all accented with pearls.

It's Fat Tuesday! (A.K.A. Shrove Tuesday, A.K.A. Pancake Tuesday)

And let's face it, there's no better way to use up all the butter, sugar and fat in the house than by making up a heap of pancakes and sausages. Barbie happened to see an 'all-you-can-eat pancakes' sign outside a local restaurant and tucked into these flapjacks like there was no tomorrow.

Lingerie in Baby Blue

Barbie is too modest to model her underwear online. However, she does love this nylon lingerie set that includes a bra, pantie, and half-slip with matching baby blue slippers.

It's Oscar Night!

Barbie was pleased to be asked to walk the red carpet this year, a year when the Oscar nominees are from a more inclusive group of actors and actresses than in previous years, and when there are so many Canadian nominees. (She is a great admirer of Canada and Canadian values.)

Barbie decided to go glam this year with a purple peek-a-boo floor length gown and a dramatic black velvet cloak. After all, the Academy Awards are all about drama.

Brocade Evening Gown with Tweed Coat.....in Aqua

Another stunning strapless evening gown, this time in a classical floral brocade. Barbie loves to mix up textures, hence, she has paired the evening gown with a knee-length, fully-lined tweed overcoat as she greets friends outside yet another trendy gallery.

Note that Barbie's signature eyeshadow compliments the exquisite hue of this outfit. 

Adding a deeply fringed muffler to the coat ensures that Barbie can stay warm as she spend hours walking through the city, window shopping and visiting iconic landmarks. Walking is part of the healthy living regimen Barbie follows to reach her goal of 150 minutes of moderate exercise each week.

Back from NYC and Baking?

Barbie just returned from a trip to one of her favourite cities...the Big Apple. She managed to lunch on a big fat Reuben sandwich while there, but missed out on her favourite Black and White cookie. So even though baking is not really her thing, Barbie dragged out her bakeware and got busy making a batch of cookies. She knew that her book club members would enjoy them, and they're meeting tomorrow evening. Let's hope there are some left.

Barbie is at the Beach in her Classic Red Maillot

This was Barbie's first bathing suit, and it's a classic in red. She thinks that we'd all have to agree that it has worn well, and tank-suits simply never go out of style.

Barbie has been reluctant to have photos taken of herself in a bathing suit because she is so thin. While her naturally slender build has been a boon to her work as a model, she thinks it would be healthier to gain a few pounds but has just never been able to do so.

She always wears a high SPF sunscreen when outside, a behaviour to which she credits her flawless skin. 

Barbie regularly uses sunhats to add extra protection from the harmful rays of the sun.

Pink Wool Coat and Hat with Faux Fur Trim

Barbie is startled by the winter sun as she leaves her apartment to attend a rally, but knows she'll stay warm in this heavily-knit pink coat with matching hat, bag and belt.

Fake fur at collar and hem add to the coziness of this ensemble.

These cream-coloured pumps co-ordinate well with her pink coat and velour bell-bottom pants.

The Flannelette Nightie and Housecoat

Barbie keeps warm on cold winter nights in her white lace trimmed flannelette nightie with matching housecoat.

Barbie has been watching "The Crown" on Netflix. It's addictive watching powerful women grow into their roles. And fashion from the 50's and 60's is mind-blowingly right up her alley.

Barbie then chooses a book from her vast library to read before going to sleep.

As it turns out, her nightie is strapless. Who knew that flannelette could be so sexy? 

The Black Satin Evening Gown

This strapless black satin sheath with its healthy dose of black lace at the hem is one of Barbie's favourites. It's deep darts ensure that her figure is featured perfectly, albeit modestly.

                         
Barbie frequently wears this gown to formal events in the winter, such as holiday  parties and gallery show openings. She finds her mink stole is a 'must-have' on snowy evenings in the city.
